Hello all,
We are without any doubt in a very active regime, with a cornucopia of advisories, watches, and warnings throughout the Commonwealth, ranging from Winter Storm Warnings to Flood Watches to High Wind Warnings. This is due to the rather strong low pressure system that is currently causing the severe weather outbreak in the southeastern United States. As the low tracks through the Commonwealth on Friday, be prepared for heavy rain and gusty winds as the cold front moves through. Although the precipitation will be subsiding throughout the day, the flooding potential remains high due to melting snow packs. Be prepared for any new advisories being posted, especially for wind and flooding.
On a semi-related note, Monday looks like a good pattern for some thundershowers!
